Does Costco Have an Affiliate Program? What to Do Instead
There's no Costco affiliate program sign up on Costco.com. What networks actually list, what it pays, and better warehouse-club alternatives.
Quick summary (TL;DR)
- There's no Costco affiliate program sign up on Costco.com, and Costco doesn't link to an affiliate or creator program from its site.
- What exists are Costco membership offers listed on affiliate networks such as FlexOffers, which pay a small flat amount per new membership, not a share of shopping.
- One Costco-branded network offer is run by a third-party rewards lottery platform, so read who the real advertiser is before you promote anything.
- Sam's Club Creator, Walmart and Amazon pay on actual purchases and are usually better fits for Costco-style content.

There is no Costco affiliate program sign up on Costco.com: as of October 2026, Costco doesn't publish an affiliate page or link to one from its site, so there's no official place to sign up for commissions on what people buy. What does exist is a handful of Costco membership offers listed on affiliate networks such as FlexOffers, which pay a small flat amount when someone buys a new membership, not a percentage of what they spend.
So the honest answer is "sort of, and not in the way most people hope." This guide explains what you can actually join, why it rarely pays off, and which programs make more sense for Costco-style content.
Does Costco have an affiliate program?
Not one you can find or join through Costco itself. Costco's site uses the word "affiliates" only in the corporate sense, in email consent text about its related companies, and we found no affiliate, creator or partner sign-up link when we checked its homepage in October 2026.
You'll still see plenty of blog posts saying "yes." Most describe membership offers hosted on affiliate networks, and they quote rates, networks and cookie lengths that disagree with each other. Treat any Costco figure you read, including the ones below, as a network listing that can change, not as Costco policy.
What that means in practice:
- No commissions on shopping. A reader's weekly Costco haul earns you nothing through these offers.
- Membership-only payouts. The listings we found pay per new membership, with the amount depending on the membership type, such as Gold Star or Executive.
- Network approval first. You apply to the network, then to the specific offer, and either can turn you down.
If you're still learning how merchants, networks and affiliates fit together, our beginner's guide to making money with affiliate marketing walks through the whole model before you pick a store to promote.
Where can you sign up for Costco affiliate offers?
Through an affiliate network, not through Costco. FlexOffers, a network that aggregates offers from many advertisers, showed these Costco-related listings when we checked in October 2026.
| Listing on FlexOffers | What the listing says it pays | Referral window | Listing last updated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Costco Membership affiliate program | $3.20 to $6.40 per membership, depending on type; restrictions apply | 1 day | July 31, 2026 |
| Costco affiliate program | 4% of membership sales | Check the live terms | February 3, 2025 (older listing) |
| "500 Costco + Membership Rewards – US" | $3.00 | Check the live terms | March 6, 2026 |
The third row needs a warning. FlexOffers describes it as a partnership with a nationwide rewards lottery platform, promoted with a "$500 Costco gift card plus membership" hook. The advertiser there is a giveaway or lead-generation company using Costco's name, not Costco. Promoting prize-style offers to your audience can cost you their trust and can clash with platform rules on misleading content.
How to apply if you still want the membership offer
- Open a publisher account with the network and describe your website or channel honestly.
- Find the Costco membership listing and apply. The network or advertiser reviews you and can say no.
- Read the live terms in your dashboard. Payout, allowed traffic sources and restrictions there override anything in a directory, including this article.
- Disclose next to every link. The FTC says a short label such as "paid link" placed right next to an affiliate link should be adequate.
Skip paid Costco shortcuts
Be wary of anyone selling a "Costco affiliate" kit, coaching or a private sign-up link. The offers above are free to apply for through the network, and none of them pays on shopping.
Why is Costco a weak fit for affiliate links?
Because Costco's model doesn't line up with tracked online commissions. A few things stack up against you.
- The money is in the membership and the warehouse. Costco is built around in-person warehouse shopping, and no affiliate link can follow a sale at the register.
- A very short window. A 1-day referral window means a reader who thinks about joining over the weekend probably won't count.
- Small, one-time payouts. A few dollars per membership, once, versus a percentage on every order elsewhere.
- Stale listings. One of the three Costco listings above hadn't been updated since February 2025, a sign to confirm what's actually live before you build content around it.
Example (hypothetical): your "Is a Costco membership worth it?" post sends 1,000 readers to the membership offer, and 1% of them join within the window. At the low end of the listed range, that's 10 × $3.20 = $32, paid once. The same traffic pointed at products in a program that pays on every order can keep earning as readers come back.
What are the best alternatives to a Costco affiliate program?
Other warehouse clubs and big-box retailers run programs that pay on actual purchases. Here's what was public when we checked in October 2026.
| Program | How it works | What's public about pay | Good fit for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sam's Club Creator | Official program for social media creators; commissions paid through the Impact platform | Rates shown in the Creator portal; a FlexOffers listing (updated September 2026) shows 1.6% of sales and 12% of memberships, with a 3-day window | Bulk-buying, family and budget creators |
| BJ's Wholesale Club | Network-listed program | A FlexOffers listing (updated August 2026) shows 0.8% of online sales and up to a 30-day window | Warehouse-club audiences where BJ's operates |
| Walmart Affiliates and Walmart Creator | Two official programs, for websites and for social creators | See our Walmart guide | Grocery, household and value content |
| Amazon Associates | Official program with published category rates | See our Amazon guide | Almost any product niche |
Sam's Club Creator is the closest match
If your content is about bulk buying and membership value, Sam's Club Creator is the nearest official equivalent. Its terms require you to be at least 18, live in the United States, not be a current Sam's Club employee, and link at least one public social media account when you apply. Commissions apply to certain product sales on Sam's Club's site, and the current payout terms are shown inside the Creator portal to approved members.
Walmart and Amazon cover the everyday products
Many items people buy at Costco, such as paper goods, snacks, small appliances and kitchen tools, are also sold at Walmart and Amazon in some form. Our Walmart affiliate program guide explains its two programs and payout delays, and the Amazon Associates guide covers category rates and the early sales requirement new accounts must meet.
How do you write about Costco without a Costco affiliate link?
Keep covering Costco if your audience loves it; just earn from it differently. Costco topics draw steady interest, and that attention can feed other income.
- Compare honestly. In a "Costco vs Sam's Club" or "best bulk-buying memberships" post, link to the programs that pay you and say plainly which store each link goes to.
- Offer equivalents, carefully. If you link a similar product at another retailer, call it similar, not "the Costco one." Readers notice when the size or brand differs.
- Build an email list. Costco fans who subscribe for deal round-ups are an audience you can serve with many programs later.
- Don't borrow Costco's authority. Avoid Costco logos in thumbnails, "official Costco deal" wording or anything that suggests Costco endorses you.
- Disclose every paid link. Our guide to promoting affiliate links without getting banned covers wording for blogs, video and social posts.
Content ideas that still earn
- Membership comparisons that end with the Sam's Club or BJ's offer you're approved for.
- "What I'd buy in bulk" style lists written as general guides, linking to products where you have a program.
- Kitchen, storage and pantry-organizing content, where the products are sold almost everywhere.
Is a Costco membership affiliate link worth it?
For most beginners, not as a main income source. It can be a small extra on a page that already reviews Costco membership, but the flat, one-time payout and very short window make it hard to earn much.
Your effort usually goes further on programs that pay on repeat purchases and give readers more than a day to decide. Results depend on your niche, traffic and execution, and most beginners earn little in their first months whichever programs they choose.

Frequently asked questions
Can you sign up for a Costco affiliate program on Costco.com?
No. As of October 2026, Costco.com has no affiliate, creator or partner sign-up link. Costco-related offers are listed on affiliate networks instead, and you apply through the network.
Does Costco pay affiliates for product sales?
Not in the network listings we found. They pay a flat amount when a referred visitor buys a new membership, and nothing on what that member later spends in the warehouse or online.
Are '$500 Costco gift card' affiliate offers from Costco?
The one we found is not. FlexOffers describes it as a partnership with a nationwide rewards lottery platform. Giveaway-style lead offers like that can damage your readers' trust, so we'd skip them.
What is the best alternative to a Costco affiliate program?
For social creators covering bulk buying, Sam's Club Creator is the closest official option. For blogs and broad product content, Walmart's programs and Amazon Associates pay on everyday purchases.
