Editorial policy & methodology
Our job is to help beginners make good decisions about earning and managing money online. These are the rules every guide follows.
Last updated:
1. We answer first
Every guide opens with a direct answer to the question in its title, then explains the details, costs and trade-offs.
2. Sources over opinions
Fees, commission rates, eligibility rules and policies are checked against the platform's own documentation (help centers, seller and affiliate terms) or against government and reputable public sources, and those sources are listed at the end of each article. When we can't verify a number, we say so and tell you where to check.
3. No income promises
We never promise earnings or say anything is guaranteed, easy or automatic. Earnings examples are clearly labeled as hypothetical and show the math. We show realistic timelines, including the fact that many people earn little at first. See our earnings disclaimer.
4. No fake proof
We do not invent testimonials, reviews, screenshots, case studies or statistics. Ever.
5. Money topics are education, not advice
Saving and investing guides explain concepts and common frameworks. They don't recommend specific securities and aren't personalized advice. We note where rules differ between the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
6. Independence
We sell our own ebook and may use affiliate links; both are disclosed (see our affiliate disclosure). Commercial relationships don't decide what we recommend, and we point to free options when they exist.
7. Updates and corrections
Platform rules change often. Each guide shows its last-updated date. If you spot an error or an outdated fee, tell us — we correct it and update the date.
Who writes the guides
Guides are produced by the Getback editorial team, which researches each topic from primary sources, uses AI-assisted tools for drafting and checking, and reviews every guide against the rules above before publishing.
